Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, TX seeks a friendly cashier to deliver fast, accurate checkout and a clean, welcoming front-end experience for the local community.

You will stock and rotate merchandise, assist customers, handle POS transactions, maintain safety and food quality standards, and support store operations with teamwork and reliable attendance, including nights, weekends and holidays. You will also learn our processes and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• Minimum age 18 for machinery operation.
• 21+ to drive for company business per policy.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Fuel Operator C certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Maintain correct money count in register and price accuracy.
• Unload trucks and place delivered items in designated areas.
• Follow tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist customers with locating products.
• Notify management of process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain fuel station per company standards.
• Keep a clean, safe shopping environment by following safety procedures.
