Job summary

My Melrose is looking for a friendly Cashier in Houston, TX to assist customers with purchases, payments, and packaging. You will operate the POS, handle cash accurately, and promote the MStyle Loyalty Program while delivering a warm, helpful shopping experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean cash wrap, assisting with merchandising, and collaborating with management to resolve customer questions. Flexibility with scheduling is valued.

Qualifications

• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with scanners/cash registers.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Dependability in attendance and cashier drawer management.
• Positive attitude to enhance the customer experience.
• Willingness to work a schedule that may vary week to week.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with payment and packaging at the register.
• Receive payment and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change.
• Maintain orderly cash wrap and count cash at start of shifts.
• Explain loyalty program and encourage sign-ups.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising and stock replenishment when needed.
• Answer questions and involve a manager if needed.
• Keep shelves and counters clean and organized.
