Job summary

You will use the POS system to handle cash, credit, SNAP EBT, and other tenders, maintain neat checkout lanes, follow safety and loss-prevention policies, and provide helpful service to every customer. This role emphasizes honesty, integrity, and teamwork.

• Basic math ability (counting, addition, subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and engage customers as a visible presence at the checkout.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash-handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads; adhere to safety rules.
