Job summary

Kroger is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker in Middletown, OH to deliver outstanding service at the checkout. You will greet customers, scan items, and process payments accurately while following store policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Follow cash handling and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay updated on ads and promotions.
• Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming environment and help customers with product questions.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues professionally.
