Job summary

D&B Supply is seeking a customer service oriented associate to support cash register transactions and assist shoppers in Meridian, Idaho. You will greet customers, answer questions, and provide information on merchandise while handling payments and processing transactions accurately.

The role requires the ability to count money, operate a cash register, and maintain a neat checkout area. High school diploma or GED is preferred; lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven work history in providing customer service.
• Ability to calculate numbers and ensure accurate entries.
• Effective communication of information, policies, and procedures to customers.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the store.
• Answer questions and provide information on merchandise.
• Establish or identify prices and tabulate bills.
• Compute and record totals of transactions.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit card, voucher, or debit.
• Validate check payments with driver’s license information.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Bag or box merchandise and offer carry-out service.
• Count money in cash drawers and ensure adequate change.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
• Process merchandise returns and exchanges.
• Resolve customer complaints with supervisor as needed.
• Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.
• Weigh items sold by weight to determine prices.
• Assist in stocking shelves and marking prices.
• Answer telephone and perform other duties as assigned by management.
