Job summary

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Strong communication skills with customers.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction) required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Use POS system to handle cash, checks, credit/debit, and other tender types following policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Comply with age-restricted item policies (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and ensure food safety compliance.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and coordinate repairs with maintenance as needed.
• Provide helpful information to customers about products and services throughout the store.
