Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Broussard, LA to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked store.

The role requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and you will be part of a team focused on friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
