Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in East Rutherford, NJ to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, safeguard cash, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), customer service experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/retail-like customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and neat presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
