Job summary

Blarney Castle Oil is seeking a dedicated C-Store Associate in Harbor Springs, MI for overnight shifts. You will greet customers, handle deli orders, follow food safety standards, and ensure accurate cash handling and register operations.

You will work as part of a team, support promotions, and maintain clean, organized store areas, including gas pumps and coolers. Physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant retail experience considered.
• Strong interpersonal skills to assist customers in an accurate and courteous manner.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, change, tax calculations and balancing registers.
• Ability to read and apply company procedure documents.
• Team player with the ability to follow directions from management.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm during peak periods.
• Experience monitoring gas pumps and related safety procedures.
• Ability to operate microwaves, small ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, undivided attention to customers and ensure a welcoming experience.
• Participate in Company promotions and programs.
• Complete required training within specified periods.
• Complete specialized training on food preparation, handling and storage.
• Promote weekly/monthly promotions to increase sales.
• Receive payments and give correct change.
• Operate cash register, card scanners, and other sale devices.
• Monitor gas pumps and ensure safe and accurate transactions.
• Prepare deli orders accurately and efficiently.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion control standards.
• Control deli waste, spoilage, and inventory dates.
• Read data on registers and documents accurately.
• Complete temperature logs in a timely manner.
• Physical duties: lift up to 50 pounds, stock shelves, clean, and stand for long periods.
