Job summary

Nutrien, located in Deerfield, IL, is seeking a Customer Experience Account Representative to manage order-to-cash activities and coordinate with Sales, Transportation and Plant personnel. You will learn Nutrien’s Nutrient products and support multiple accounts with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years of related experience, a four-year degree in a relevant field, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related four-year degree.
  • 1-3+ years of related experience in customer experience.
  • Experience in Agriculture, Commodities, Industrial Chemicals is beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent problem resolution, analytical and communication skills; ability to exercise independent decision making within established guidelines.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers in the areas of order entry, order shipment, and logistics of transactions.
  • Learn and understand Nitrogen, Phosphate, and Potassium nutrients and specialty lines.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Transportation, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Credit with plants and warehouses to manage order-to-cash activity.
  • Coordinate shipments with Sales, customers, agents, forwarders and plant personnel.
  • Answer moderate to complex customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, and shipping documents.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and training as needed.
  • Support assigned Sales people regarding daily activity of shared accounts.
  • Create and supply documents for quarterly and annual audits.
  • Handle outages and load-out notices for plants, terminals, and warehouses.
  • Collect and analyze data; generate reports/presentations for management decisions.
  • Identify areas of improvement and efficiencies in the Customer Experience team.

What You’ll Do:
  • Interact and communicate with customers in the areas of order entry, order shipment, and the logistics of transactions
  • Learn and understand our Nitrogen, Phosphate, and Potassium nutrients as well as specialty lines of products in our Agricultural, Industrial, and Feed Divisions
  • Collaborate with Sales, Transportation, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Credit along with the plants and warehouses to manage order to cash activity, acknowledging requirements of assigned accounts
  • Communicate, strategize and implement the coordination of shipments with Sales, customers, agents, forwarders and plant personnel
  • Accurately satisfy moderate and complex customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, product specifications, shipping documents, product safety, etc
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and training on an as needed basis
  • Act as a key resource and support role for assigned Sales people regarding the daily activity of shared accounts
  • Create, analyze, and supply supporting documents to fulfill quarterly and annual audit process
  • Outage and load-out notices for plants, terminals, and warehouses
  • Collect and analyze data as well as generate reports and presentations used by management to enable departmental decisions
  • Drive and identify areas of improvement and potential efficiencies in the Customer Experience team
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related four-year degree
  • A passion for Customer Experience with 1-3+ years of related experience
  • Experience or background in an Agricultural, Commodities, Industrial Chemicals, is beneficial but not required
  • Possess excellent problem resolution and analytical skills along with being able to exercise independent decision making within established guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Experience and proficiency in a variety of software programs and applications with an aptitude to learn new systems including SAP and Microsoft Office products particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and operate comfortably in a team environment
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize deliverables
  • Solid understanding of customer service processes and procedures and how transactions flow through and report in the various systems
  • Must be highly motivated
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and awareness
  • Capacity to identify pain points in processes/systems and recommend and implement possible solutions

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Deerfield, IL location, is between $51,400 - $80,630. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid vacation, sick days and holidays as well as paid personal and maternity/parental leaves and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
