Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited, located in Yuma, CO, seeks a sales-focused professional to develop new prospects and strengthen relationships with growers to expand agricultural inputs sales and exceed targets.

You will ensure on-time delivery and product quality, develop strategies to increase proprietary product sales, and consult with growers to resolve agricultural issues while supporting credit processes and receivables management.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred; in lieu, 5+ years agriculture experience
• 2+ years’ experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in agriculture and application of agricultural chemicals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with growers to increase agricultural inputs sales to meet and exceed sales goals; manage sales to meet profit margin goals
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including on-time delivery and quality
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales of proprietary products
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe actions to resolve issues; resolve issues associated with adverse product results
• Perform initial credit review of customers and provide information to Credit Manager to set credit limits
• Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Do:

• Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase agricultural inputs sales to meet and exceed sales goals. Manage sales to meet profit margin goals
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including, but not limited to on time and accurate delivery and quality of product
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues. Resolve issues associated with adverse product results
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk. Provide necessary information to Credit Manager in order to choose credit limits
• Collect outstanding accounts receivables from customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

• University degree preferred, in lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years’ experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry, as well as the application of agricultural chemicals
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

The salary range for this role, in Yuma, CO location, is between $60,000 - $80,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
