Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions is a leading retail division of Nutrien with a nationwide network of crop consultants. This role focuses on growing sales of agricultural inputs, developing prospects, and maintaining strong customer relationships to meet revenue targets.

Support will come from senior crop consultants while you gain product knowledge and credit-management experience, aligning with our safety and integrity values and a culture of care.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Crop Consultants to gain skills and understanding in the sale of agricultural inputs and customer interaction.
• Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase sales of agricultural inputs to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including on time and accurate delivery and quality of product.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products.
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with Senior Crop Consultants to gain skills and understanding in the sale of agricultural inputs and customer interaction
• Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase sales of agricultural inputs to meet and exceed sales goals. Manage sales to meet profit margin goals
• Assure customer satisfaction of products including, but not limited to on time and accurate delivery and quality of product
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues. Resolve issues associated with adverse product results
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk. Provide necessary information to Credit Manager to choose credit limits
• Collect outstanding accounts receivables from customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

• University degree preferred, in lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

The salary range for this role, in Imperial Valley, CA location, is between $70,304 - $100,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
