Crosby’s Stores is hiring a Sales Associate in New York, NY. You will deliver outstanding customer experiences while keeping the store clean and safe and supporting sales and profitability goals.

Responsibilities include handling cash, preparing items, promoting the rewards program, and encouraging add‑on sales at checkout. You will work with a supportive team and uphold core values such as honesty, trust, and accountability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred age of 18 years or older.
• Previous experience, preferred.
• Proficient in basic math to handle cash transactions, shift reports and vendor check-ins.
• Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point of sale systems, and other equipment.
• Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made‑to‑order items following company recipes and standards.
• Promote My Crosby’s Rewards and assist customers with enrollment and offers.
• Suggest additional items at checkout to enhance customer experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Demonstrate company values: Honesty, Trust, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Balance and report register activity at the end of each shift.
• Report any cash discrepancies and follow cash handling procedures.
• Monitor inventory and prevent loss.
• Keep shelves fully stocked and prices accurately set.
