Job summary

Thinkgood's Carson Store is seeking a Store Associate to support daily operations, assist customers, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment. The role reports to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager; duties include stocking merchandise, running the cash register, processing transactions accurately, and providing friendly service to customers.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, communicate effectively in English, and participate in store meetings; bilingual

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Fluent English communication (verbal and written).
• Experience with customer service and working with the public is desirable.

Responsibilities

• The Store Associate assists customers.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise.
• Runs the cash register as assigned.
• Responsible for the accuracy of transactions when assigned to register and adherence to company check and credit card procedures.
• Report safety hazards and all accidents to Management immediately.
• Maintains the store in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, which may include daily floor mopping and related tasks as assigned.
• Assist in receiving new merchandise and processing incoming merchandise.
• Provide customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
• The Store Associate may be cross trained for other retail functions and required to perform assigned tasks to standards.
• Answer the telephone in a courteous manner.
• Attends general store meetings as assigned.
• Attends general departmental and safety meetings as required.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.
