Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company operates Break Time convenience stores and is seeking a Break Time Sales Associate to assist customers and process transactions while keeping the store clean and stocked. You will follow company policies and contribute to efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, merchandising, using POS systems, and ensuring food safety and product quality. Flexibility for weekends/holidays and adherence to safety guidelines are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer service-oriented person who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of products during vendor check in.
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability and willingness to attend adequate food safety training and obtain a Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certifications.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Working with customers—greet and thank each customer; provide fast and friendly service; conduct accurate transactions.
• Merchandising and sales—price items, promote promotions, stock and front merchandise.
• Communication—maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Teamwork—work with others to serve customers while following regulations.
• Working with technology—use POS, computers, and handheld devices; make change and complete shift reports.
• Food preparation—follow guidelines and temps; inspect products for safety and quality; use kitchen tools.
• Maintaining a clean environment—sanitize equipment and ensure cleanliness and proper display.
• Adhere to policies; perform other duties as assigned.
