Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Data Systems Owner to lead the development and operation of integrated data environments for high-profile aerospace programs in Alabama. You will certify systems, ensure data quality, and coordinate with government partners.

Demonstrated product ownership, strong project management, and experience with DOORS/Windchill and collaboration tools are required. Excellent communication and decision-making are essential in this fast-paced, regulatory environment.

Qualifications

  • Requires BS degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
  • Experience with integrated data environments or data systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS and UI/Application Development.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Windchill.
  • Experience with secure data-sharing platforms.
  • Experience with multi-dimensional data records for manufacturing, quality, configuration management, calibration records, work procedures, master equipment lists, and related areas.
  • Track record of enforcing data-marking best practices.
  • Experience with data platform-specific customer training and engagement metrics.
  • Strong background in project management and resource planning practices.
  • Experience with customer certification or mission assurance practices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Excellent judgment and high-velocity decision making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong background in product ownership.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Support development and operations of New Glenn, Blue Origin’s heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle
  • Lead the integrated data systems solution required to certify the New Glenn program
  • Support National Security Space Launch and NASA program certifications
  • Ensure data quality, sharing, maintenance, and customer engagement are implemented successfully
  • Build and maintain relationships across the New Glenn program and with US Space Force and NASA partners
  • Plan sophisticated products across multiple technical subject areas
  • Develop, deliver, and communicate results in response to government certification requests
  • Provide leadership for data systems supporting launch services for national security and civil science payloads
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
