Blue Origin in Seattle, Washington is seeking a skilled engineer to develop software for the New Glenn rocket. This role involves creating robust control algorithms and working alongside teams to ensure software validation.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering degree and have hands-on experience with AI and Simulink. Benefits include competitive pay, stock options, and comprehensive insurance coverage.
At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

You will translate your understanding of P&ID drawings into robust Simulink control algorithms, converting cutting-edge concepts into executable, flight-ready code. Our team develops safety-critical software, so experience with verification and validation is highly valued.
You will collaborate closely with the simulation team to verify control models and work in tandem with the launch team to validate your software in real-world scenarios.
If you thrive on challenge, want to make history, and enjoy solving the toughest engineering problems in aerospace, we encourage you to apply. Join us in launching the next era of human spaceflight!
