Job summary

Gridsight in San Francisco is seeking a Customer Data Analyst to turn utility data into actionable insights, building dashboards and bespoke analyses that help customers understand their grid operations.

You'll partner with Power Engineers, Customer Data Engineers, and Product teams to translate recurring analyses into platform-ready features, leveraging an AI-forward stack including Databricks, dbt, Dagster, AWS, and Claude Code.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in data analytics or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to analyse and wrangle datasets.
• Experience building dashboards and data visualizations.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting.
• Ability to communicate data-driven findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure and modern development practices (Git, command-line).
• Exposure to dbt or similar ELT/ETL frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analytics & Visualization (~55%): Build dashboards and visualizations; translate questions into analytical tasks; deliver bespoke analysis; validate outputs.
• Customer Delivery Support (~25%): Support end-to-end engagements with engineers; ensure data is available and correctly mapped; triage issues with customers.
• Product Support (~20%): Identify patterns to inform product direction; translate analyses into platform features; contribute to internal docs and tooling; automate manual steps.
