Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a team-oriented store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, stock merchandise, and maintain plan-o-grams. You will greet customers, assist with locating items, and operate the cash register to complete sales.

This role requires ability to unload trucks, stock shelves, and uphold store standards in a fast-paced environment. Prior cash handling and basic math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face items.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register; itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise and collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Keep store clean and presentable; assist with sidewalk displays as needed.
