Job summary

ShopRite of Shrewsbury is seeking a Food Service Clerk to deliver a great customer experience through attentive, friendly service and informed recommendations. You will assist the Food Service Manager with daily operations, maintain a clean, visually appealing department, and ensure safe handling of products.

The role requires the ability to read and communicate in English, stand for long shifts, and lift up to 60 lbs as needed. Competitive hourly pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Ability to lift 25–60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Stock, display, and rotate products to maintain appealing shelves.
• Prepare salads, sandwiches, and other prepared foods per recipes and standards.
• Ensure proper temperatures and food safety throughout the shift.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
