Job summary

Minnwest Bank is seeking a full-time Assistant Universal Banker for our Summit, SD location. This role delivers a professional customer experience, handling transactions, identifying bank products, and guiding customers to bankers for sales opportunities.

It also supports ongoing service of existing accounts and branch operations. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 6 months cash handling and customer service experience; associate degree and 1–2 years in account

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months cash handling and customer service experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Dependable, organized team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers in a clear, effective professional manner.
• Willing to continuously learn and grow within the organization.
• 2-year associate degree preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of consumer account openings, closings, and maintenance preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, be organized, effective time management.
• Is able to work alone or within a team setting.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service by identifying and recommending bank products and services to fulfill their needs.
• Process routine transactions such as deposits, cash handling, cashing checks, issuing receipts, and cashier's checks.
• Proactively transition customers and prospects opportunities to achieve sales and service goals.
• Assist customers with account changes or inquiries as well as any issues or questions they may have.
• Maintain knowledge of all bank products and services.
• Comply with Minnwest Bank policies and regulations.
