The Customer Care Representative serves as a primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries via phone, email, and internal systems while ensuring accurate and timely order processing. This role collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to support order fulfillment, communicates order and shipment details, and resolves service issues professionally. The position focuses on maintaining accurate customer records, supporting customer‑specific requirements, and contributing to service and performance goals within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary contact for customer inquiries through phone, email, and internal systems.
  • Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all details are complete and correct.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Shipping, and Quality teams to support order fulfillment and on‑time delivery.
  • Communicate order status, lead times, and shipment updates to customers clearly and proactively.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, discrepancies, or service issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order documentation, and correspondence in internal systems.
  • Support customer‑specific requirements, including labeling, documentation, and delivery instructions.
  • Assist with customer returns, claims, and corrective action follow‑up when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support the organization in achieving established service and performance goals.
  • Contribute to departmental metrics related to customer satisfaction, responsiveness, on‑time performance, and service quality.
Essential Skills
  • 2–3 years of customer support or customer care experience, preferably within the food, flavor, fragrance, or related industries.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carteret, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
