Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Customer Care Representative to deliver outstanding service by handling a high volume of inbound calls and inquiries, researching issues as needed.

You will engage customers, provide clear information, and assist with product and service needs while meeting call center metrics and contributing to the team.

The role emphasizes teamwork, protocol adherence, and opportunities to learn about Casella’s environmental solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2-4 years of customer service or inside sales experience.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Advanced degree, relevant sales certifications, prior sales experience and environmental/sustainability interest are preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, typing, and CRM or similar software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Answers or places calls to learn about and address customer needs or issues.
• Explains possible solutions and ensures customers feel supported and valued.
• Engages in active listening, confirms information, and defuses escalations as needed.
• Builds rapport with customers and team members based on trust and reliability.
• Uses relevant software, databases, scripts, and tools to address topics.
• Meets call center metrics while delivering excellent customer service.
• Engages with customers to assess needs and makes sales recommendations.
• Participates in training and other opportunities to learn about the company, products, and services.
