Job summary

Larkin Community Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient pharmacy services in Miami, FL. You will register patients, assist with pharmacy tasks, and communicate with patients by phone while maintaining confidentiality.

The role requires a Florida Pharmacy Technician license, high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with a daytime shift and clerical support duties within the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Previous Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

• Extended standing or walking is necessary.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Processes new patient registration by entering data into the appropriate system.
• Introduce Larkin Outpatient Pharmacy Services to patients as needed.
• Makes outbound calls to patients as needed and addresses questions and/or concerns via telephone.
• Performs clerical functions that support the provision of quality pharmacy services to patients.
• Coordinate patient care with appropriate medical and pharmacy staff.
• Offer courteous, compassionate, and reliable services to all patients.
• Identifies and communicates issues to the Pharmacy Supervisor as appropriate.
• Represents the organization positively and professionally.
• Other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Pharmacy Technician license (Florida) license required
• Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down the computer, use the mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online).
• Job function requires extended standing or walking.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
• Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
