Job summary

Valor Compounding Pharmacy, Inc. in Berkeley, CA, is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a full-time, customer-facing role focused on consultations, drug information, and patient service. The position follows a 8:30am–5pm M-F schedule, reporting to the Customer Care Manager.

You will verify orders, counsel patients, review physician orders, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support staff and labs. California license required; 1–3 years experience preferred; compounding experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree.
• Licensed and in good standing with the CA Board of Pharmacy.
• 1–3 years experience in pharmacy; compounding preferred but not required.
• Experience with pharmacy software, pharmacology, knowledge of legal compliance and FDA health regulations.
• Pass drug screen and background check; pre-employment verification.

Responsibilities

• Verify order entries and charges.
• Review and interpret physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Provide pharmacological information by answering questions from healthcare professionals.
• Counsel patients on drug therapies.
• Offer excellent customer service to patients, providers, and vendors.
• Develop staff's pharmacological knowledge through clinical programs and training.
