Job summary

ARCO Innovations in Ashburn, VA seeks a counter sales associate to assist customers in selecting and purchasing materials and products. You will conduct cash sales and handle open account pickups.

Responsibilities include answering calls, quoting orders, processing transactions, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring accurate information for sales. Experience in retail or customer service is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to understand customer needs and meet those needs.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls quickly and efficiently.
• Assists counter customers with orders, quotes, and delivery times.
• Conducts all counter sales transactions by entering orders into the computer.
• Maintains good product knowledge to ensure timely and efficient customer service.
• Verifies and completes all necessary information before entering sales transactions.
• Provides suggestions needed to meet and/or exceed sales goals.
• Resolves or alerts management regarding inventory issues or customer concerns.
• Receives payment or obtains credit authorization. Examines defective materials returned by customers to determine if refund or replacement should be made.
• Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customer\'s needs, and emphasizes selling points of products. Maintain a clean and organized showroom.
