We are looking to hire a Customer Business Manager immediately in a remote sales position based in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Customer Business Manager I is responsible for achieving volume objectives, budgets, and planning. Execution of retail controllables and customer collaboration are key to success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop specific plans for distributors and retailers, implementing tactics for promotion, pricing, distribution, schematics & category management across many McCormick brands. Present and execute these plans.
  • Develop and deliver customer plans to achieve volume objectives.
  • Determine appropriate product mix and gain subsequent distribution.
  • Manage direct and brokered accounts.
  • Manage trade promotion system.
  • Overnight travel may be required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
  • 2 years Sales, Marketing, or related experience with at least 1 year managing customer base.
  • Expert understanding of the CPG industry sector and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organization skills.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of how Sales integrates with marketing, supply chain, and finance.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of McCormick products, profit impact, and store conditions.
  • Experience outside traditional grocery channels, such as distributor channels.
  • Knowledge of syndicated data.

Base salary will be determined based on location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. This role is eligible for McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan. Additionally, employees are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs, including:
