Job summary

Grove Bank & Trust in South Miami is seeking a Personal Banking Associate to process routine retail banking transactions for personal and commercial customers, greet clients, and support branch sales and servicing efforts.

You will assist with account servicing, handle deposits and withdrawals, maintain accuracy, comply with policies, and help with new accounts and documentation; candidate should have strong communication skills and be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of retail banking-related experience including Teller or retail banking client service experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients by phone or in person in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of standard bank products, policies, and procedures.
• Multi-task oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Computer proficient in Outlook, MS Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and direct walk-in clients to the appropriate employee or department.
• Process a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, savings bond redemptions, foreign currency orders, and cashier’s checks.
• Balance daily transactions and the teller cash drawer in accordance with policies; organize and scan documents.
• Provide exceptional customer service and strengthen customer relationships.
• Identify customer needs, promote bank products, and make referrals as needed.
• Assist with account servicing and administration, including changes, debit card orders, and wire transfers.
• Support new account openings with proper documentation and compliance.
• Prepare BSA/AML reports as required and adhere to controls to minimize risk.
• Participate in sales campaigns and support in-house marketing events.
• Provide support to Digital & Treasury Services as needed.
