Job description

A Customer Account Advisor plays a key role in assisting the Customer Accounts Department with lease agreement renewals. In this role, you will support the overall needs of the store by assisting other team members. You will have direct contact with customers and act as a customer counselor for timely agreements and renewals. You'll work in an environment that recognizes and rewards top performers.

Aaron’s Customer Account Advisors serve as coaches to our customers, driving payment collections and lease agreement renewals by understanding lease agreement benefits and ensuring customer satisfaction. As a Customer Account Advisor, you will build relationships with customers over the phone and face-to-face to help bring them closer to ownership.

The Work

  • Maintain and update customer accounts and information in the store system.
  • Contact customers who have not renewed their lease agreements, via home visits and phone calls.
  • Promote the benefits of timely lease renewal payments.
  • Assist in setting and achieving revenue and renewal goals.
  • Assist with merchandise returns and guest deliveries.
  • Certify merchandise in the Quality Assurance Center.
  • Complete weekly vehicle maintenance and route sheets.
  • Load, secure, and protect products in the vehicle.
  • Operate company vehicle safely.
  • Assist the Sales Team as needed.
  • Perform any reasonable duties requested by management.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old in the U.S. with a valid driver’s license and compliance with Driver Qualification Policy; at least 18 in Canada.
  • Meet DOT requirements for certification in required states (U.S.).
  • Ability to work hours from 8 am to 9 pm.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided and up to 300 lbs. with assistance.
  • Two years of retail/customer service experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High energy and ability to multitask effectively.
