Job summary

Heartland Wood Products is seeking a dedicated woodworker to manufacture a range of custom wood items from lumber. You will operate a variety of shop equipment and ensure top-quality results, with occasional delivery responsibilities.

The role requires precise measuring and cutting, reading blueprints, and producing high-standard components. A molder background is a plus, but not mandatory; the position is full-time and on site in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented with high quality standards.
• Molder experience preferred but not required.

• Build treads, risers, butcher block items, table tops, panels, moldings and other wood items from lumber.
• Operate rip saws, chop saws, glue presses, CNC, shaper, planer/sander and other power equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to high quality standards.
• Periodically drive delivery truck to deliver products to customers.

Job description

Heartland Wood Products has been producing unique products for over 30 years. Our customers include cabinet shops, flooring retailers/distributors, homebuilders, lumber yards, and more.

Responsibilities

• Build treads, risers, butcher block items, table tops, panels, moldings and other custom wood items from lumber
• Operate rip saws, chop saws, glue presses, CNC, shaper, planer/sander and other power equipment
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to high quality standards
• Periodically drive delivery truck to deliver products to customers

Skills

• Proficient in woodworking techniques, including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood
• Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools for woodworking
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during the woodworking process
• Experience operating a molder is preferred but not required

Hours

• 40 hr. per week permanent position.
• Mon-Thur. 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Fri 6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• Paid major holidays

Requirements

• Must possess a valid MN drivers license
