Job summary

Aerotek in Fargo, ND is hiring a Shop Technician to install and upfit truck equipment, including plows, service bodies, tool boxes, and hydraulic components. You will work with pre-fabricated parts, read blueprints, and ensure safe, high-quality installations while coordinating with a team.

This contract-to-hire role offers an on-site weekday schedule with potential overtime and Saturday repair work on a voluntary basis.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude for assemblies and fittings.
• Experience using hand and power tools in a shop.
• Ability to read blueprints and installation prints.
• Experience with fabrication and welding as needed.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Install truck attachments and equipment onto frames.
• Mount and fasten components securely using tools.
• Read blueprints to ensure safe installations.
• Install wire harnesses and connect to control boxes.
• Paint prep and application in booth as needed.
• Follow safety practices and work both independently and in a team.
• Occasional Saturday repair work optional.
