Job summary

Gillette Children's is seeking a full-time Seating Technician to pre-fabricate seating and adaptive equipment in our orthotics, prosthetics & seating department in Saint Paul, MN. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with benefits.

Fabrication includes custom seating and interfacing with wheelchairs, delivering accurate documentation, and collaborating with seating practitioners to ensure safety, function and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Dependable with excellent communication skills.
• Wide range of hand skills with power and hand tools.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems and interrupt fabrication forms.

Responsibilities

• Ensures lab and work area are cleaned, inventory stocked and orderly.
• Use materials and methods safely to complete projects on fabrication timelines.
• Fabricate seating to meet criteria and department standards while ensuring safety and cosmetic quality.
• Communicate professionally with seating practitioners to clarify fabrication details.
• Deliver prompt service to patients, families and hospital staff and maintain patient satisfaction.
