Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Flex Custom Protection Officer (CPO) for a warehouse in Sparrows Point, MD. The role involves armed/unarmed foot or vehicle patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and report writing.

Flex shifts may occur with little notice as needed by the client. Responsibilities include patrolling, recognizing security risks, notifying authorities, and assisting staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPO Qualifications include service in military, academy graduate, or degrees in law enforcement/criminal justice.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for unusual conditions creating security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire as needed.
• Warn violators and monitor entrances/exits.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The Custom Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Custom Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• CPO Qualifications: Must possess one or more of the following
• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
