Allied Universal is hiring a Custom Protection Officer Flex Officer to perform armed and/or unarmed patrols and access control at multiple client sites in Charlotte, NC. You will monitor CCTV, prepare reports, deter misconduct, and respond to emergencies, with shifts that may vary and require flexibility.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in law enforcement or security, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license where required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Background investigation required per applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.

• Observe for unusual conditions and report security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate written reports of incidents.
• Deter misconduct and ensure safety of personnel and property.

• Suggest improvements for security surveys and post orders.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The Custom Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Custom Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

Qualifications (must Have)

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
