Singer Vehicle Design in Torrance, CA is seeking a Bodying Technician to bring passion, precision, and problem-solving to our team. You will trim, assemble, fixture, and bond composite body panels to high-end automotive chassis, ensuring alignment and quality in every step.

The role requires meticulous work, strong teamwork, and the ability to follow precise instructions. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 5am–1:30pm in Torrance with potential overtime.

• Work with a team of technicians to trim, assemble, fixture, and bond composite body panels to high-end automotive chassis in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
• Assists in special projects and set up of fixtures as required
• Prepare and stage upcoming production builds before they enter the department

What You’ll Do:

• Adjust and repair steel chassis as necessary for panel fitment
• Prep, fixture, and bond composite panels to achieve gap and flush specifications
• Report any issues/delays in production line to lead and ensure correction in a timely manner

Who We’re Looking For:

• Working at this level requires an effective communicator that works well on a team and can multitask efficiently.
• This position requires you to be meticulous in your work and constantly striving for improvement.
• You must be able to follow precise work instructions while maintaining both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish composite bodying process.
• Basic competency in GMAW (MIG) welding process
• Basic competency with manual and pneumatic hand tools
• Basic competency with panel trimming and body panel alignment
• General knowledge of composite fabrication methods – hand layup, open molding, resin infusion, etc. with carbon fiber materials

Location & Schedule:

• You’ll work Monday – Friday 5am-1:30pm in Torrance, CA with potential overtime

The starting pay range for this position is between $21 - 30 per hour plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
