Job summary

Michaels is hiring a Framing Specialist to assist customers, guide product choices, and maintain a safe framing shop within a retail setting. You will operate manual and electric framing tools and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities include supporting omnichannel processes, handling cash, and promoting Michaels' vision and values. Expect to work nights, weekends, and some early shifts in a climate‑controlled store environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and measuring skills.
• Ability to operate framing equipment, including glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience selling products and/or services to customers preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate‑controlled public areas and occasional non‑climate‑controlled stock rooms.

Occasional outdoor work retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.

Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.

Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Compensation

Total Base Pay Range for this Position: $15.25 – $17.90 per hour.
