Job summary

Electronic Theatre Controls is seeking a Drafter to join our Custom Metal team in Wisconsin. You will create detailed manufacturing drawings for custom products and work with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure production-ready documentation from concept to creation.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment where no two projects are alike. The position may be based at the Mazomanie facility or Middleton location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with drafting training; 2–4 years preferred.
• Associate degree in mechanical drafting/design with 0–2 years experience.
• All levels of prior job-related experience considered.
• Experience in a team environment.
• Basic drafting skills.
• Basic AutoCAD skills.
• SolidWorks skills.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed manufacturing documentation for custom designed products.
• Create metal work details for shop floor.
• Create label documentation for print.
• Review assembly designs for sizing, material, and finishes.
• Interpret release drawings and bill-of-materials.
• Maintain knowledge of drawing standards.
• Assist engineers with documentation necessary for the successful manufacturing of ETC products.
• Produce and update drawings for existing products.
• Engineering Change Request (ECR) is investigated before changes are made.
• Engineering Change Order (ECO) is processed and approved.
• Revisions to part, wire harness and assembly drawings.
• Maintain drawings and their corresponding Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Provide task completion time estimates.
• Participates as a team member, works effectively in a team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and positive fashion.
