PARTNERS Staffing seeks a Senior Project Architect in Chicago to lead all phases from schematic design to construction documents and on-site coordination. You will collaborate with clients and consultants, and ensure design intent through to the final product.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of high-end residential experience, strong CAD skills (ArchiCAD/Twinmotion), and solid project management. Licensure is optional; a professional architecture degree is required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-approved program is required (licensure optional).
  • Minimum 5 years of high-end residential architecture experience.
  • Fluent in CAD and other supporting design software (ArchiCAD & Twinmotion experience a plus).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and timelines.
  • Zeal for the design of high-end Custom Homes, balanced by receptiveness to critique.
  • Dedication to continuous learning and growth.
  • Requires 5 years of experience with production of complete construction documents.

Job description

Are you a licensed architect looking to work with a highly skilled team? If so, we are looking for you! Our busy firm is looking for the ideal candidate to bring our client’s ideas to life.

Qualified candidates will be skilled designers with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in high-end Custom Homes. They will use their skills to manage & further develop a project form the schematic designphase and assumeresponsibility for the project throughthe construction documents & construction phase. Candidates will have direct contact with clients & be responsible for capturing the project’s vision & implementing it into the final product.

Responsibilities:
  • The Senior Project Architect will be responsible for all phases and aspects of the architectural process and related drawings, including development of schematic design, design development, & complete construction documents. Includes integrating consultant drawings (HVAC, landscape architect, civil engineers, etc.) into design plans.
  • Important additional responsibilities will include communicating & coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors, as well as supporting filed operations staff throughout the construction process.
  • Mentor & oversee junior colleagues work by providing guidance on design, client management, & construction practices.
  • Consult with project managers and clients throughout the project to ensure the end product meets the client’s quality and budget expectations.
  • Communicate design intent specifications clearly and ensure quality control through site visits with construction professionals.
  • Produce drawings and renderings and revise designs based on feedback Project design proposals, building design blueprints, and construction documents containing specifications for building materials and products.
  • Monitor, manage, & report on consultant relationships in support of company goals, priorities, & schedules.
  • Oversee all Permit Acquisition & collaborate to expedite approvals to support project timelines.
  • Responsible for all studio quality control of construction documents (incl. design standard / detail review, adherence with state & local codes, & consultant coordination.
Qualifications:

The specific roles and responsibilities of this position are best suited for an experienced professional (licensure optional). The right candidate will have a professional degree in architecture, excellent design and graphic ability, a passion for residential architecture, comfort with all phases of the architectural process, capability to contribute to overall studio quality control and a superior custom residential design portfolio. Proficiency in digital modeling and other visualization skills is preferred. Project management experience in all phases of custom residential design and construction is a plus. In addition, the position requires the following qualifications.

  • Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a National Architectural Accrediting Board approved program is required (licensure optional).
  • Minimum 5 years of high-end residential architecture experience.
  • Fluent in CAD and other supporting design software (Graphisoft ArchiCAD & Twinmotion experience a plus).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously as well as strong problem-solving, technical, communication skills, & dedication to craft of doing great work in a timely manner.
  • Zeal for the design of high-end Custom Homes & ability to communicate that enthusiasm to clients & colleagues while being balanced by the humility of work being critiqued by others.
  • Dedication to continuous learning & growth.
  • Requires 5 years of experience with construction projects, producing complete sets of construction documents for developments, residential or office buildings
