Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Associate in NYC-Brooklyn Heights to build relationships with customers while creating framing solutions. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide a well-merchandised store with in-stock framing materials.

You will complete framing orders with high quality, assist with Omni channel processes, and maintain the frame department. Previous retail experience is valued, and behavior should reflect the company values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills required.
• Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience selling products and/or services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships and help customers shop and find what they are looking for.
• Complete framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time.
• Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas including SISO and Directed Replenishment.
• Operate cash register and handle cash to standards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
