Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Custom Assembly Technician for a client in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves constructing custom fluid and gas systems, interpreting 2D drawings and 3D CAD files, and fabricating tubing with precision to meet tight tolerances.

You will perform pressure and helium leak tests, troubleshoot misalignments, and follow strict quality and safety procedures in a climate-controlled shop. Training is provided for specialized equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work to tight tolerances.
• Ability to interpret 2D technical prints and basic 3D CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom fluid and gas system solutions using mechanical judgment and hands-on fabrication skills.
• Read and interpret 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models to determine dimensions, components, fit, and assembly requirements.
• Measure, fabricate, and assemble tubing and mechanical components using tools such as wrenches, sockets, tube benders, cold saws, and facing tools.
• Perform pressure testing and helium leak testing to verify system integrity.
• Troubleshoot and adapt when components or drawings don’t align, while following quality and safety procedures.
