Job summary

Pfeiffer Vacuum in Indianapolis, Indiana is hiring an Assembly Technician to assemble standard instrumentation and custom systems. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm with a targeted pay range of $22-$26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

You'll read engineering drawings, perform basic wiring, troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and test assemblies to ensure functionality. A High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related assembly experience.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Willing to comply with PPE, respirator fit testing and drug screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble equipment using engineering drawings.
• Read and follow instructions precisely.
• Perform basic electrical wiring from drawings or instructions.
• Use drawings to determine assembly methods.
• Troubleshoot issues before and during assembly.
• Implement changes to assemblies as needed and document them.
• Read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• Collaborate with engineering to suggest design or component changes.
• Test assemblies and verify functionality.
