Job summary

Firematic’s B.R.A.T.® Shop seeks an experienced electrician to install electrical wiring, components and systems on customized fire trucks and police vehicles. Most work is 12V DC, with additional AC knowledge required; candidate will apply automotive electrical know-how to design input and provide skilled mechanical and electrical support on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of proven experience in electrical/electronics and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high quality performance.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including diagnostic instruments.
• Two-way radio installation and repair experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of 12V electrical systems.
• Proficiency in creating electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Safety First: Ensure all electrical work meets safety and compliance standards (NFPA and OEM).
• Innovate and Create: Layout and install advanced electrical systems for custom fire apparatus, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Hands-On Excellence: Install, test and troubleshoot electrical components and systems in custom built fire apparatus.
• Documentation: Create detailed electrical schematics for each custom apparatus.
• Team Collaboration: Work with engineers, technicians, and other team members to integrate electrical systems.
• Stay Ahead: Keep up with advances in electrical technology and fire apparatus standards.
