Job summary

Closets By Design Salt Lake City is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented CAD Drafter and Engineer to interpret custom closet designs and translate them into purchase orders and shop CAD drawings for manufacturing. You will learn and improve our Software and Machining capabilities while driving design accuracy.

The role emphasizes meticulous design evaluation, efficient query resolution, and collaboration with vendors to meet lead times and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college training preferred.
• Familiarity with computers and technology.
• Experience with Cabinet Vision or CAD software preferred.
• Manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review sales designs for compliance with product offerings and installation requirements.
• Meticulously review designs with attention to detail.
• Collaboratively address and resolve design queries efficiently.
• Compile an accurate cutlist detailing all parts and machining requirements.
• Complete and submit necessary orders to vendors within established lead times.
• Adhere to all company policies and uphold standards of behavior and performance.
• Work well within a team.
• Be a Problem Solver, not a Problem Reporter.

We design, build and install custom closets, garage cabinets, mud-rooms, offices, pantries and much more.

We are currently in search of an enthusiastic, detailed oriented, responsible and motivated individual to promptly assume the role of Custom Closet/CAD Drafter and Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Review sales designs to ensure compliance with the company’s product offerings and installation requirements.
• Comprehensively review designs with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Collaboratively address and resolve design queries efficiently.
• Compile an accurate cutlist detailing all parts and machining requirements for the design components.
• Complete and submit necessary orders to various vendors within established time frames in accordance with lead times and company standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and uphold standards of behavior and performance.
• Work well within a Team!

Minimum Preferred Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (College training is preferred)
• Familiarity with computer usage and technology
• Preferably experienced in Cabinet Vision or other CAD software
• Manufacturing experience is desirable
