WebstaurantStore is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. This role covers routine cleaning, waste management, and compliance with health and safety regulations, with an emphasis on attention to detail and proactive cleanliness.

The Custodian will perform floor care, restroom cleaning, waste disposal, and assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events, reporting hazards and restocking supplies as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly.
Wipe down surfaces and equipment to maintain a dust-free environment.
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables according to local protocols and expectations.
Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles, ensuring timely removal and replacement.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance requests to leadership.
Monitor and replenish inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
Organize and store cleaning equipment and materials in designated areas.
Assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events or meetings.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals.
Abide by all company and warehouse policies.
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
