Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking a seasonal custodian to maintain cleanliness in Snowshoe Village and affiliated facilities. Responsibilities include operating compactors, managing waste and recycling, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires punctuality and ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Perks include medical benefits, resort discounts, 401k, and employee lift privileges.

Qualifications

• Custodian role requires ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform daily maintenance.
• Must be punctual, able to follow schedules and safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a team and support housekeeping operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain Snowshoe compactors, reporting issues promptly.
• Ensure compactors are operational, clean, and emptied as needed.
• Keep compactor areas and village trash cans clean and organized.
• Manage trash and recycling collection, including special recyclables.
• Coordinate with Pocahontas Recycle and handle special waste needs.
• Report equipment defects, maintain cleanliness, and complete reports.
• Arrive on time, wear appropriate attire, and participate in training.
• Contribute to team efforts and achieve results as directed.

Seasonal

• Work Location: 10 Snowshoe Drive, Snowshoe, WV 26209
• Pay: $15.25 per hour
• Start Date: The end of November and beginning of December with positions available throughout the season.
• Flex and Seasonal positions available
• Schedule: May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

The custodial position removes solid waste from Snowshoe Village and business units on a daily basis, monitors Snowshoe compactors, and operates Snowshoe's recycle program for all recyclable material and hazardous waste.

Driving

• Have a valid Driver's license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience

• Ability to move a pull trailer attached to a pick up
• Ability to operate a standard shift truck
• Knowledge of Snowshoe Mountain and location of departments is helpful
