Job summary

Washington County is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, safety across county facilities, with potential assignments between buildings. Must be self-motivated and capable of driving a county vehicle; work in a jail setting with a Corrections Officer present. Daily hours are 10:00 a.m.

to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include restroom sanitation, floor care, trash, event setup, and basic maintenance, with emphasis on reliability and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license for County business.
• Custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms; clean floors, furniture and fixtures.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events; perform routine maintenance.
• Monitor supplies, update logs, and transport materials as needed.
• Maintain building security by locking doors and activating systems.
• Report hazards and participate in snow/ice control when required.
