$13.00/hr - $15.00/hr

Job Title: Custodian

Reports To: Facilities Supervisor

Scheduled Hours: Part-Time (2 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for all custodial functions within the facility and the grounds surrounding the campus daily as scheduled by the Facilities Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for daily cleaning of the facility using the schedule of functions provided by the Facilities Supervisor. The facility will be maintained in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition.
• Notify supervisor of any malfunctions of cleaning equipment or problems noted within the facility as soon as possible so they can be corrected.
• Must be able to manage inventory and order goods as needed.
• Must be willing to work outdoors maintaining grounds.
• Responsible to set-up and take-down meeting rooms based upon room reservations and by direction of supervisor.
• Accountable to ensure the security of the facility during the performance of duties and upon departing the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Competencies:

• Custodial experience is optional if individual recognizes the need for sanitary conditions, cleanliness, and safety.
• Ability to read and write is necessary to ensure ability to follow instructions on cleaning products and written guidance of the supervisor,
• Must be able to exercise good judgment, self-motivated, and maintain standards.
• Must be in good physical health to meet all the physical demands of setting up tables and chairs, lifting and carrying thirty (30) pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, bend, snow removal, and assisting facility users.
• Individual must pass a drug screening test and criminal background check.
