Job summary

Fayette County Administration is seeking a dedicated custodial worker to maintain cleanliness across facilities. The role involves cleaning restrooms, floors, furniture, and common areas, with emphasis on safety and tidiness after hours.

You will follow a fixed schedule from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on Wednesday through Saturday, perform routine cleaning duties, manage supplies, and support building operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Cleans public restrooms and replaces supplies.
• Cleans elevator doors.
• Empties and cleans ash trays and trash cans.
• Cleans doors and windows.
• Removes litter.
• Mops floors.
• Polishes mirrors.
• Cleans water fountains.
• Dusts furniture and wall hangings.
• Cleans base moldings.
• Cleans office and break areas.
• Cleans stairways.
• Cleans furniture.
• Cleans and disinfects telephones.
• Maintains storage area and janitors’ closets.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

This is a full-time position with benefits. This position performs custodial maintenance duties.

Hours are specific to this position. Schedule is as follows...

• Wednesday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm
• Thursday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm
• Friday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm
• Saturday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's licenses issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
