Wages and Benefits: Minimum base pay rate: $22.09 (Class I, Step I with additional 75 cents/hour differential)

Custodian and Maintenance Master Agreement

Custodian Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs routine and project cleaning of assigned classrooms, offices, and corridors. Duties include emptying waste receptacles, vacuuming and/or sweeping floors, cleaning sinks and fountains, furniture, refinishing floors, carpet extraction, and cleaning boards.
2. Coordinate, schedule, and give work direction to custodial staff under the Facilities Manager's guidance. Interact with building occupants to meet their needs.
3. Clean and disinfect lavatories and locker rooms, including fixtures, walls, floors, and dispensers. Maintain odor control and supply levels.
4. Perform minor maintenance such as changing filters, light bulbs, lubricating equipment, and small repairs.
5. Secure the facility by locking doors, windows, and activating security systems.
6. Exterior maintenance including lawn care, cleaning windows, and snow/ice removal.
7. Operate equipment like vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, pressure washers, lawn mowers, etc.
8. Report repairs to the head custodian.

Night Custodial Shift Leader Responsibilities:

1. Carry the building cell phone.
2. Lock the building at night.
3. Monitor building systems and report issues to the head custodian.
