Job summary

Creative Management Technology, Inc. is seeking a dependable Custodian responsible for cleaning retail locations on a Monday to Friday schedule.

The role requires following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks starting at 6:00 AM and working at our Norfolk site. You will perform duties such as trash collection, restroom sanitizing, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and restocking supplies, with safety training and the ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect garbage and recyclables from assigned locations and dispose of them properly.
• Sanitize restrooms daily with germicidal solution.
• Wet mop all washable floors including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, and offices.
• Clean glass and windows (inside and outside) as required.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and dust-m mop corridors."
• Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and soap at dispensers.
• Complete and maintain housekeeping logs according to the schedule.
• Participate in safety drills and training as requested.

Job description

We are looking for a Custodian responsible for cleaning retail locations. The custodian will be required to follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and should have the necessary skills and abilities to perform defined tasks.

DAYS: Monday - Friday

START TIME: 6:00 AM

Primary Duties:

• Collect all garbage and recyclables from the assigned locations and place them in the correct disposal dumpster
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with a germicidal solution
• Wet mops all washable floors, including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, office areas, and storage areas
• Cleans glass and windows (inside and outside) when required
• Cleans office areas and building entrances
• Vacuums all carpeted areas and dust-mops corridors
• Dust, clean, and sanitize other surfaces
• Refills paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap in all dispensers
• Complete and maintain a housekeeping log according to the schedule
• Participate in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested
• Attend and participate in worksite safety and in-service training
• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Experience/Education:

• Experience in the custodial field
• Knowledge of proper cleaning methods

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to comply with and pass a background check as required by the contract
• Submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to physically move through the worksite
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stoop, squat, lift, carry, and push
• Must wear protective equipment, such as latex gloves and safety glasses, according to OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
